Songs and Slumber

The girls love music and to play the piano. Elizabeth is quite the little singer and she can play (or should I say pound) the piano while belting out her songs. Her favorites are "Baa Baa Black Sheep" and "Twinkle Little Star". Here is Elizabeth's version which I must say is pretty darn close...

Baa Baa black sheep have you wool?
Yes sir, yes sir, three is full
One for the boy, one down the lane
Baa baa black sheep, have you wool,
Yes sir, yes sir, three is full.

And for you Andersen's out there, Elizabeth and Katherine also love the infamous lap ride Tutalum (sp?) Except Elizabeth just calls it "Tato". She's quite good at singing that one too...

And we finally got Elizabeth a toddler bed and she really seems to like it. Problem is, sometimes by the time she falls asleep, the floor seems like a better place to be! She's doing a little better after the first week. (By "better", I mean the time it takes to fall asleep went from around two hours down to maybe one hour). You'd think that constant running around the room and putting on a comedy routine for your poor sister stuck in the crib would wipe you out. I definitely think Katherine got the short end of the stick. Poor girl isn't getting enough sleep and is way grumpy in the evening. We'll see what this next week brings...

I love seeing our little nieces! Now you can start a collection of photos of Elizabeth falling asleep in places other than her own bed, just like Nathan! They are both so cute.

Liam's in a toddler bed now, too. Last night we peeked in his room and could hear him breathing but couldn't find him. He was asleep in his closet with the door closed.

Just you all wait until you have teenagers and you won't be able to blast them out of bed.
