Only 18.5 more miles...

This past weekend I ran the annual Bloomsday run - a 7.5 mile road race with 40,000 other runners and walkers. Yes, it does make for quite the stampede at the beginning of the race, but it also creates so much energy and excitement. I especially enjoyed the entertainment and spectators on the side of the road - rock and bluegrass bands, the accordian-playing Elvis, the large vulture at the top of "Doomsday" hill, the rowdy nuns with their noisemakers, and so much more...

This was my 4th time running this race and I beat my best time by a half a minute. My time this year was 1:03:17. Here's a link to my results and you can even see my photo if you like. I'm wearing a white shirt and hat. http://www.bloomsdayrun.org/results/ResultDetail.asp?Bib=3578&YEAR=2007

Ok, so I can run 7.5 miles, now I'm just freaking a little about my upcoming marathon. That's ONLY 18.5 more miles...

Congratulations on your 1st place finish. That's awesome. (based on runners with the same last name). The website with the photos is pretty cool.

That is a cool website. I think it's REALLY cool that you placed 23 out of 392 women who were 31! That is awesome... looks like you had fun!

Wow, I'm so impressed with how you did in the different categories. From the picture with the girls I can tell you had a fun day.
