Yesterday Elizabeth was notified she was the winner in her age group for a local coloring contest! And we are so proud of her! She really loves using lots of color in her creations, as you can see. For her prize, she won a $50 gift card to the movie theater (not too shabby!)
The contest was for a weekend festival held here in late September called "Valleyfest". It is a totally fun day for the kids. They have things like a petting zoo, horse rides, jumping castles, big slides, all kinds of city trucks, and lots of vendors with giveaways. But most of all, I like it because it is totally free! This was our second year going - I think it will be a yearly tradition.

Wow Elizabeth you are a great colorer (probably not a word?), I remember painting a picture when I was 4 or 5 and one of the local businesses in Buffalo somehow got it from the daycare I went to and liked it so much they framed it and hung it in their office. I remember being so proud of myself and asking my Mom to take me in there all the time so I could see it, I thought it was so weird and cool and the same time that they had framed it and hung it for everyone to see, since I didn't even think it was that great of picture at the time...I wish I could see it now that I'm grown, to get a different perspective on it.
Wow, we have some great colorers in our family! I had no idea about Tom's artistic abilities. I remember when I won a coloring contest at Hastings. I won the movie 101 Dalmations... $50 would have been better!
We're proud of Elizabeth too! Good Job! I loved the funny pic. of Katherine too... cute!
I won a coloring contest too! It's in the family genes! I won the Christmas coloring contest at Albertson's grocery store. I still have my masterpiece. Elizabeth will remember this forever and will be so proud of her coloring skills!
Great picture, Elizabeth! I love the picture of Elizabeth on the horse.
