We had a very restful and fun vacation. Kurt's mom visited for 10 days and it just flew by. It is always so great to have an extra set of hands to help and Jane is always so great to help in any way. Kurt and I got to go out one evening on a date to a favorite restaurant, it was so wonderful to chat about the things we never seem to have enough time to talk about.
I wanted to update you on the goal I made before Christmas. I exercised EVERY DAY from Thanksgiving until Christmas! Yes, I'm quite proud of myself. Some days it was so easy, and others it was tough. A few evenings I had to drag myself down to the treadmill at 11:00 pm, but once I got going it felt really good. But, boy, when Christmas day came around is was so GREAT to not have to work out! I've set several goals for this New Year and so far, so good! I'll keep you posted...
Last weekened, I did get to go outside for a run - the first time in a month! All the snow was melted and it was in the 30's. Glad I got that run in because the next day we got snow, and after several big storms, right now we've got about 9 inches of the white stuff.
Here's some photos of our winter wonderland:

Everyone is posting snow pictures on their blogs. We don't know what snow is this year. In fact, there was a 500-acre wildfire burning north of town overnight!
I'll tell you my New Year's Resolutions if you tell me yours!
Good job on working out every day until Christmas!
