We want to wish everyone a very special Christmas. It feels so good to have some restful family time at home and get a break from our hectic routine. It feels a little funny to not be with family in Montana this year, but it has also been fun to be able to have our own special traditions here at home.
Some of my favorites this month have been our Advent house, singing Silent Night to the girls everyday, reading "Santa Mouse" over and over again, making a gingerbread village, and making cookies for Santa.

I told Maria that the candy house photo reminded me of when we used to do that as kids. Especially the Necco Wafers!! What else are those things good for anyway?
BTW - I'm not sure that the house is up to code. The construction crew did a nice job, but whoever designed/engineered it should lose their license!! :-)
Joel has a profile??! Does this mean he's starting a blog!?
We decided we need to make it a yearly tradition to have a "Gingerbread House Making Contest" in the family. We'll be sure to start it up next year, if I can remember.
