Wow, I passed w/ 10/10 although I had dig hard into my memory for some of them and had to guess on the one if -7 is an whole number, integer, prime, ect. I couldn't remember for sure. I just wish I could have gotten this kind of grade in 8th grade.
I passed too! Mathcounts! I actually got really nervous taking the test. I mean, if Tom is going to get a 100% percent, then I better get a perfect score too. Or else I would never hear the end of it. So good thing I passed with flying colors. What is an irrational number anyway?
OK, so I got a 90%, but it didn't tell me which one I missed. I had to look up some of the terms and did not know the meaning of ^. But hey, I was in the 8th grade 44 years ago and I don't think they had invented some of these math principles yet!
This is why I could not and did not help the kids with their math homework. And now they are a banker, civil engineer, financial manager, pharmacy student, and one has had to ably and successfully navigate through a myriad of government and medical forms, procedures, and financing. It was good I just stayed out of the way when it came to math. You all must have gotten your math genes from your mother!
I got 9 out of 10! I figured that was ok since it's been 5 years since I even looked at a math problem (that isn't very long compared to 44 years! haha). The only math I use is counting how many dirty diapers I change in one day! :) On average... 8 diapers a day between two kids. 8x365 = 2,920 diapers in one year!! Yikes!
Let's see, if 7/10= 70%, and 70%=C, and C=Average, then I guess I'm Average. But just because the right side of my brain is bigger than all ya'lls, don't feel bad. Not everyone can be creative. At least ya'll have your little numbers and letters to play with. If you need me, I'll be playing with my PowerPoint and PhotoShop 'cause that's what pays MY bills.
I am a mom to two beautiful girls, been married 10 years to my high school sweetheart, and I work as a professional engineer. I love to move (especially run)and be crafty. Finished my 1st marathon in Oct. 2007!

topher,
is there a test we can take to see if we pass a creativity test at a 8TH GRADE level?
Tom - you just passed. Very creative comeback.
Chris and Tom. Best Friends Forever. BFF.
I'm afraid to take this test. The math space in my brain was taken over by other info a long time ago.
